1. What cookies are

Cookies are tiny text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They let the site remember things between page loads or visits, such as the contents of your cart or whether you are signed in. We also use comparable technologies like local storage and pixel tags; the rules below apply equally to all of them.

2. Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary

These cookies make the Site work. Without them, you would not be able to add items to your cart, sign in, or complete checkout. They do not require consent because the Site cannot function without them.

• session: keeps you signed in for the length of your visit.
• cart: stores the items you have added to your cart.
• csrf: protects forms from cross-site request forgery.

Preferences

These remember your choices so the Site feels personal across visits. You can disable them in your browser at any cost to convenience but no loss of functionality.

• recent_views: remembers products you recently looked at.
• locale: stores your preferred language and currency.

Analytics

These help us understand how the Site is used so we can improve it. They are anonymised. We never combine analytics data with anything that could identify you. You can opt out at any time.

Marketing

These measure how well our marketing campaigns perform. They are off by default and only set if you explicitly opt in.

3. Third-party cookies

A few cookies are set by services we rely on, not by us. These include payment-processor cookies (eSewa, Khalti, Fonepay) on the checkout pages, and a small number of analytics cookies (when enabled). Each provider has its own privacy policy that you can review on their site.

4. How to control cookies

You can manage cookies in three places:

1. On MedCare Surgical: open the cookie banner that appears on your first visit and toggle the categories you do or do not want.
2. In your browser: all major browsers let you block, delete, or be alerted to cookies. Look for “Privacy” or “Cookies” in your browser settings.
3. In your account: if you are signed in, visit your profile to clear stored preferences.

Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will break checkout and account features. Disabling preferences and analytics is safe; the Site will still work normally.

5. Do Not Track

We honour browsers that send a Do-Not-Track signal by treating the visit as if optional cookies were declined. Strictly necessary cookies still load so the Site works.

6. Updates

We update this page when we add, remove, or change a cookie. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
